There's been a couple of things that I've been working on around the apartment. It can be difficult to try and move somewhere and take care of all the little things at once. It's definitely more of a gradual process. Some of these projects I've done myself and others have been great finds through Pinterest, HomeGoods and West Elm.  Here's a peak into our little space!

PUNC-TU-AL... wait, how does this work? After the first step, every other tip or tid-bit of information I've gathered since trying to make this big transformation has pretty much all muddled together. Do-It-Yourself Projects   Schenectady Farmer's Market: Creating your own herb garden This past weekend my friend Leah and I had the opportunity to go to the Schenectady Farmers Market. (For more information, visit  Schenectady Sunday Market )   It was a beautiful day and one of the first really hot days we've had in Albany in a while.  It was also my first time visiting the market since it's been outside! While there, a lovely vendor named Alice convinced me to move past my fears of killing living plants and try to start my own herb garden. So, that's what I did.  I am now the proud owner of my very own basil and parsley plants.  Jon was a bit skeptical at first, considering Leah and I came in the front door with potting planters, bags of dirt and a frisbee full of basil and parsley seedlings up to our eyeballs. i find the map and draw a straight line.

there's a clear delineation to me of the before and after.  i'm using this post to bring together multiple blogs from various time periods, but even in reading previous posts there's a clear line in the sand to me. i'm slower now. slower to react. slower to let others in. slower to trust. slower to feel. slower to heal. and unfortunately, a little slower to laugh. i'm still trying to fix those last few.  there's a large gap in the timeline of these small glimpses into this life - and so much happened in such a blip of a lifetime.  just 5 years. 2013-2018. and in that amount of time, big cracks started to appear.  i lost katy. we started to see the impacts of mom's illness. i started thinking hard about the relationships in my life and what i valued, where i put my time & energy.  some of those friendships would break during this time period, others will take more time for me to truly understand that i was no longer interested in the level of life they we...
