Weekend Update: March 2 and 3rd

This weekend was lovely, as most are these days.  We went to a Friday night happy hour to celebrate the week's end and got to play in our second indoor ultimate game of the season.  Winter league started about 4 weeks ago and with he snow blizzard a couple weeks back and Vermont escapades, we've only been able to attend 1 game.

Saturday we got to go explore the tiny town of Hudson, NY.  It's full of antique and vintage shops, good food and great beer.  There's a local brewery called Crossroads that's not too far down the road that had a delicious IPA. We spent the afternoon wandering around and finally got to try a Mexican restaurant hat we had heard to be comparable to some of the best Mexican we've had.  I don't know about the best Mexican, but how can I blame them?  These people have clearly not had Monterrey's in Burlington, NC.

I've been very appreciative of my Sunday's lately (as you can read here!) and I really have enjoyed the opportunity to relax and rest and take care of myself.  Next weekend our good friends are getting MARRIED.  It will be such a good time to celebrate and appreciate our friends and loved ones.

PUNC-TU-AL... wait, how does this work? After the first step, every other tip or tid-bit of information I've gathered since trying to make this big transformation has pretty much all muddled together. Do-It-Yourself Projects   Schenectady Farmer's Market: Creating your own herb garden This past weekend my friend Leah and I had the opportunity to go to the Schenectady Farmers Market. (For more information, visit  Schenectady Sunday Market )   It was a beautiful day and one of the first really hot days we've had in Albany in a while.  It was also my first time visiting the market since it's been outside! While there, a lovely vendor named Alice convinced me to move past my fears of killing living plants and try to start my own herb garden. i find the map and draw a straight line.

there's a clear delineation to me of the before and after.  i'm using this post to bring together multiple blogs from various time periods, but even in reading previous posts there's a clear line in the sand to me. i'm slower now. slower to react. slower to let others in. slower to trust. slower to feel. slower to heal. and unfortunately, a little slower to laugh. i'm still trying to fix those last few.  there's a large gap in the timeline of these small glimpses into this life - and so much happened in such a blip of a lifetime.  just 5 years. 2013-2018. and in that amount of time, big cracks started to appear.  i lost katy. we started to see the impacts of mom's illness. i started thinking hard about the relationships in my life and what i valued, where i put my time & energy.  some of those friendships would break during this time period, others will take more time for me to truly understand that i was no longer interested in the level of life they we...
